Brendyn CreamerTRURO, N.S. — With over 1,700 fans in attendance for the Truro Jr. A Bearcats final home game of the regular season against the Amherst Ramblers, it was also a night of celebration for the senior hockey team that had made historic strides 25 years prior.
The team members and staff from the Truro TSN Bearcats 1998 senior AAA hockey team were at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre for their 25th anniversary of winning the Allan Cup in a 6-1 final on home ice at the Colchester Legion Stadium, against the London Admirals. They are only the second Nova Scotian team to have won the Cup, with the other being the Halifax Wolverines in 1935.
