The West Kings Wolverines won the School Sport Nova Scotia Division 2 girls provincial volleyball championship Dec. 3 on home court. They defeated Strait Area Education Recreation Centre 2-0 to win the title. It was a rematch of the 2021 championship, which SAERC won. West Kings Wolverines forward Logan Johnston takes a shot while being defended by Avon View Avalanche defenceman Connor Beaton during Valley High School Hockey League action Dec. 4 at the Credit Union Centre in Kingston. Wilson Davison had three goals, including the winner, to lead the Avalanche to a 5-2 victory. Brody Richard and Austin Hood each had a goal and an assist in the victory while Magnus Giswold, Jaiden Wells, Zach Rowsell, Evan Baxter and Beaton all contributed a helper.
