Collection sites contribute to keeping local communities stronger and healthier, says recycling non-profit CEO.
Burnaby's Eco-Centre has been honoured for collecting the second-most amount of used oil and antifreeze materials across the province last year, according to a recycling non-profit.
“Our ability to properly recycle and re-introduce used materials back into B.C.’s circular economy is important work that requires growing infrastructure to enable safe collection, handling, and storage,” said David Lawes, CEO of Interchange Recycling, in a press release. Burnaby's Eco-Centre has drop-off options for more than 20 different types of recyclable materials, including used motor oil, antifreeze, batteries, propane tanks, paint, books, green waste and more.
