Manitoulin OPP stopped the driver on Hwy. 17 in the Walden area
An accused impaired driver who was speeding into oncoming traffic in the Walden area was nabbed by the Manitoulin OPP this week.
Police initiated a traffic stop. It was determined that the driver had been consuming alcoholic beverages and was arrested for impaired driving. The driver was then returned to the Espanola OPP detachment for further tests.The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury on September 6
