Subject of emergency alert message arrested - May 2, 2024 | SaltWire #dartmouth #update #suspectSAINT JOHN, N.B. — A 24-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving after being stopped following a collision on Highway 1 in Saint John on Wednesday evening, May 1.
Around 6:30 p.m., the Saint John Police Force was notified by the public of a silver Chevrolet Impala being driving erratically, first near the intersection of Loch Lomond Road and McAllister Drive. It was followed onto the highway and headed east — allegedly colliding with the right side of a vehicle headed in the same direction — until police caught up and conducted a traffic stop.The driver was arrested for impaired and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
In the meantime, police are encouraging the driver of the car that was struck to come forward and report any damages. Additionally, anyone with video footage of the incident or information is asked to contact the Saint John Police Force at 1-506-648-3333 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
