Illinois reported 2,420 new COVID cases and six related deaths Friday.
There have been at least 3,092,485 total COVID cases, including at least 33,510 related deaths in the state since the pandemic began.Statewide test positivity data are no longer being reported by the state.
A total of 21,648,058 vaccine doses have been administered in Illinois as of Thursday, and 64.58% of the state's population is fully vaccinated. The seven-day rolling average of vaccines administered daily is 19,799. Some familiar metrics, including test positivity and case positivity rates, will no longer be reported. It's partly because labs no longer have to report negative antigen tests, and also because of the widespread use of home tests impacting test data.
