First, after finding out Emma was lying about meeting Nick IRL, the scenes where she's rehearsing what to say made me go"ohhhhhh" in hindsight.After finding out that she's been lying, the bits where she's prepping what to say to Sophie go from"classic meeting your dead lover's wife nerves" to a clue that Emma isn't exactly telling the truth. Also, the parts where she says she was engaged.

Eugh.It more or less makes sense for Dawn and her husband to be behind Emma being run off the road, because she sees her at the University.One of the things I like about the Dawn twist is that she's just ~there~ a lot of the time but no one suspects her, which reflects her reasons for catfishing in the first place. Also, Dawn knows how to use a voice changer — which either her or her husband could have used for the threatening call.
