Greg James takes a dip in Birmingham on his way to completing the Radio 1 Giant Jigsaw
This week I was sacked from the Radio 1 breakfast show. The only way I could get my job back was to win it byEvery summer we like to do something really big and stupid to coincide with the start of the school holidays. I work with some truly brilliant people and we love the idea of derailing the usual schedule and experimenting with what a radio station can be used for.
. It was a relief to be quite honest with you. If they so wished, this would have been the perfect method of removing me. Each puzzle piece was hidden somewhere around the UK. With the help of the listeners, I had to get all the pieces back to Brighton where the puzzle frame was floating in a nearby lagoon. By the way, there was no reason for the puzzle to be floating, the producers just thought it would be funny to see me flailing around. My wife has assured me they were right.
