With every step he took in his hockey career, Tate Singleton told himself that maybe he could play at a higher level.
When he got to high school, he told himself that maybe he could play college hockey. After two junior seasons, Singleton became an Ohio State Buckeye and spent four years playing in the Big Ten conference. His favourite player was Marc Savard and one of his prime nemeses as a fan was Matt Cooke of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Anyone who remembers watching that rivalry knows what happened between Savard and Cooke.
Like a lot of players who come to St. John’s for the first time, Singleton didn’t know much about his new city.
