“We will take this moment and this experience playing the defending national champions losing 4-1 with an empty-netter. Our team gained a lot of experience.” Olivier Garneau tied the game 29 seconds into the second period, and a power-play goal by David Noel at 9:36 sent the Patriotes into the dressing room with a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes.
Overall, the Patriotes outshot the Huskies 29-26. Former Halifax Moosehead Alexis Gravel earned the goaltending win. Jeremy Helvig tended goal for the Huskies.
