By The River Bakery in Hunter River has had its licence to operate suspended by the environmental health branch of the Chief Public Health Office after failing a health inspection on Sept. 9. FileCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A Hunter River bakery’s licence to operate has been suspended by the provincial government.was cited for a number of Public Health Act violations

“The bakery initially was closed under a public health order and remained closed to get ready for a reinspection to confirm if all the conditions from the Sept. 9 inspection had been satisfied,’’ the statement from environmental health said.

SaltWire Network did contact the bakery by phone on Sept. 14 and left a message, but there was no immediate response.
