Hundreds of inmates have been evacuated from the Huntsville Unit due to a fire at the prison, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice confirms.
Officials say the fire is being contained, and around 320 inmates have been evacuated form a portion of the facility.No injuries have been reported at this time, according to TDCJ. The Huntsville Fire Department and the Huntsville Police Department have responded to the scene, along with other agencies.
