Marc Shwec, the chairman of the Stand with Ukraine committee, told the Star that the rally was only organized Monday evening in light of reports of a Russian invasion.ordered the deployment of Russian troops to Ukrainian rebel areas“We waited until we could confirm with multiple sources that the deployment indeed happened before calling tonight’s rally,” said Shwec.
