If the teen makes bail, he will remain under house arrest at wherever he is allowed to reside.Police found the body of his mother, Michelle Roenz, in the trunk of a crashed car, which his father owned.
Roenz is charged with murder, tampering with evidence, unauthorized used of a vehicle and attempted sexual assault, the latter of which stems from an unrelated incident.The father found teeth and blood throughout their Humble home. His wife's purse and phone were left in a bedroom but she, the family dog and his vehicle were nowhere to be found.
Surveillance footage at the home showed the vehicle leaving, while credit card payments showed gas station payments from Harris County to Oklahoma. A state trooper attempted to pull him over near Lincoln but Roenz fled and crashed the car.An autopsy in Omaha showed the mother died from blunt force trauma and strangulation. Investigators interviewed Roenz in a hospital, where he said his mother did not get into the trunk on her own.
