Utility workers with Peoples Natural Gas Co. were forced to halt construction of a gas pipeline in Sharpsburg, Allegheny County, recently after human remains were uncovered at a work site in the borough, according to news sources.
The incident took place on June 20, when workers and contractors discovered the remains four to five feet below Short Canal Street while doing excavation work.
