Recent announcements for the MCU's Phase 5 have only made the Hulk's strange absence from the franchise even weirder. Bruce Banner has been a staple of the MCU since 2008's The Incredible Hulk, with a variety of projects over the years transforming the character in some unexpected ways.

There May Not Be Room For Hulk In MCU Phase 5 With so many Hulk-affiliated characters set to appear in Captain America: New World Order, as well as MCU newcomers Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph, a.k.a. Sabra, and Xosha Roquemore in an undisclosed role, Anthony Mackie's first big-screen adventure as Captain America is already full to bursting.
Could Hulk Still Appear In MCU Phase 5? Marvel Studios has thrown curveballs before with characters appearing in unexpected projects and has even pulled this trick with Bruce Banner himself, who made a cameo appearance in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' post-credits scene. To this end, it's possible that the Hulk could appear in any number of projects in the MCU's Phase 5, whether that be in a cameo capacity or in a larger role.
