“The Music Man” revival officially opened on Broadway on Feb. 10, 2022 but failed to take home any statuettes at the 2022 Tony Awards.
Hugh Jackman won’t be heading back to Hollywood any time soon.Its “positively final performance” will occur on Jan. 15, 2023 instead of its original end date of New Year’s Day.“We are grateful to Hugh and Sutton [Foster] and our entire glorious company for agreeing to add these additional 16 performances,” she went on.
“The Music Man” revival stars Jackman, 54, as Professor Harold Hill and Sutton Foster, 47, as his reluctant love interest Marian Paroo. The pair will have played 374 regular and 46 preview performances by the time the final curtain drops next year.He’s currently bulking up to embody his Marvel character Wolverine for the upcoming movie “Deadpool 3.”published earlier this month, the “Scoop” star said: “The other night, I could hear the Velcro go creaking and actually popped open. I’ve split two pairs of pants.”
