Huberdeau happy about being back at left-wing yyc flames
If a move back to his natural position can help unlock a little more production before the end of the season, it only makes sense to give it a try.
And if the Flames are going to win games, they’re going to need more goals. They’ve scored a grand total of one-goal in their last two games. It was great that Jacob Markstrom stole them a shootout victory on Tuesday against the Minnesota Wild after regulation and overtime ended 0-0, but they needed more than the goal they got in Friday’s 3-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks.
Defenceman Noah Hanifin didn’t participate in the team’s skate at the Saddledome, although there’s no word on what kept him out. That will certainly something to monitor over the weekend and moving forward, especially given that Hanifin plays the second-most ice-time of anyone on the Flames roster. Ruzicka hasn’t played since Feb. 20, while Duehr has been in the press-box for the Flames’ last three games.
