The Ultimate Fighting Championship on Saturday will touch down in the Middle East for the first time in nearly a year, as Islam Makhachev puts his undisputed lightweight crown on the line against featherweight titleholder Alexander Volkanovski in a blockbuster main event.
UFC 294 “Makhachev vs. Volkanovski 2” takes place on Oct. 21 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The main card kicks off at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT. The prelims start at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT.to see UFC 294 in person. The site offers seating options in a variety of price ranges, starting at $136.13.Anyone wishing to live stream UFC 294 “Makhachev vs. Volkanovski 2” online will need to buy an ESPN+ membership and purchase the pay-per-view for $79.99.
Makhachev, 31, enters the Octagon on the strength of a 12-fight winning streak that includes his unanimous decision over Volkanovski at UFC 284 in February. He owns a stellar 13-1 record in the UFC, a knockout loss toin 2015 his only misstep. Makhachev has delivered 15 of his 24 career victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission. Volkanovski, meanwhile, has won 23 of his past 24 bouts.
