The Riveter's Amy Nelson is on a mission to build a women's coworking space that's accessible to all.

When lawyer Amy Nelson sought to open her own law firm while pregnant, she went to all types of business trainings and entrepreneur meet ups to kick off her new venture. While doing so, she realized how few spaces there were where like minded women could congregate, bounce ideas off each other and get exposure to the necessary resources they needed to start their own businesses.

I sat down with my husband and we made a spreadsheet. We decided that our family could survive for 23 months without me making money, so that was our timeline of how long I had to make this thing work. It took me 13 months. And paying myself that first paycheck felt pretty damn good. Last year we opened our doors to people working towards immigration reform at the border.
