Star Wars' Jedi Exile evolved from a mysterious hero to a highly compelling character that bridged Knights of the Old Republic and the current canon.

The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series introduced the Jedi Exile, who would eventually become the bridge between KotOR and Star Wars canon. The Expanded Universe being rebranded as "Legends" means that KotOR is considered non-canon, but elements from the games and their tie in media continue to appear in new stories. Each of these references creates a new bridge between KotoR and modern Star Wars storytelling and allows fans to experience classic stories in a new way.

While the Jedi Exile roamed the edge of known space for years, Revan and Malak were consumed by the dark side and returned to conquer the galaxy as Sith Lords. Revan eventually returned to the light and defeated his former apprentice, but sensed another evil somewhere in the galaxy and left to find it. During his absence, the Jedi Order was decimated in the First Jedi Purge, and the Jedi Exile found themselves thrust into conflict with the Sith Triumvirate.

The Jedi Exile's Name Was Revealed 7 Years After KotOR II's Release Star Wars: The Old Republic - Revan by Drew Karpyshyn finally identified the Jedi Exile as Meetra Surik and revealed what happened to her and Revan after the KotOR games. Meetra tracked Revan to the Sith capital on Dromund Kaas, where he had been imprisoned by the Sith Empire upon discovering they still existed.
