Police officers wearing riot gear push back demonstrators outside of the White House, June 1, 2020 in Washington D.C., during a protest over the death of George Floyd.Demonstrations and protests have called for police reform following the death of George Floyd, a black man who died after an officer kneeled on his neck in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Protesters, celebrities, and government officials are among the Americans who believe reducing spending on policing is one of the necessary changes.
