How did Ohio State's defense grade out in the Buckeyes' 23-3 win over Indiana?
opened up its season with a 23-3 win over Indiana where its defense was the most positive thing coming out of the game.
The Hoosiers were limited to just a 42-yard field goal that wa barley successful first hitting the upright before getting a favorable bounce. It is the first time since its 45-12 win over Arkansas State that the Buckeyes kept a team from scoring a touchdown. The last time they did so against a Power Five opponent was in 2019 when it held Northwestern to just a field goal in a 52-3 road win.
The dominant performance wasn’t the result of one player standing out but more the productive of a group effort with 19 player recording a tackle. That is also mirrored in the Pro Football Focus grades. Michael Hall Jr. had the highest grade of anyone who played at least 20 snaps with 73.8 followed by Jordan Hancock’s 72.8. Overally there were six players to play at least 20 snaps and grade out over 70.BET $5, GET $200 BONUS BETSBET $5, GET $200 BONUS BETS & $100 OFF NFL SUNDAY TICKET
