Having pink hair takes a lot of upkeep, there's bleaching the roots every month as well as maintaining a vibrant color and on top of all of that you have to keep your hair healthy so that you can keep dyeing it. Seeing a colorist once a month is a good way to check in on the health of your hair as well as re-up on color.
When salons do eventually open back up, our roots will be grown out way past the recommended 4-6 weeks and our hair stylists will have to do some extra work to get it back to our desired color. But until then, we wanted to find out how we could maintain our colored hair at home, the best we can. We asked Colleen, a colorist at Spoke and Weal, our burning questions about what to do during this time.
