The “Dead to Me” star made the 2023 SAG Awards her final public appearance in light of her worsening disease, confirming it would be her “last awards show.”
“I like to keep it as quiet and as mellow as possible,” she explained. “It’s exhausting. Imagine just being in a crowd of people and how loud that is.Applegate was diagnosed with MS in 2021.The “Bad Moms” actress shared that she no longer has “good” days and instead experiences “little s–tty days.”
“There are just certain things that people take for granted in their lives that I took for granted,” she reflected. “Going down the stairs, carrying things. It f–king sucks.” Applegate said she is still able to drive — but only short distances.
