. It snowed, and the wind blew, and the men and women who competed in a variety of outdoor sports dealt with those mountains the best they could over most of the last two weeks.
Adrenaline and years of training pushed these Olympians through their events, often without much visible difficulty, but then came the next step: A succession of outdoor interviews along a runway filled with reporters — who, themselves, were frozen to the bone. Conditions were cold and blustery right from the start of these Games, with a warmer and calmer respite midway through. It lasted a few days.
