How Canada’s online grocery market could grow to $30 billion a year — podcast theemilyjackson
Canadians buy almost everything online these days, yet we lag behind other countries when it comes to purchasing groceries over the internet.
But Montreal-based online grocery company Goodfood believes the online grocery market in Canada is just getting started and could grow to between $15 billion and $30 billion per year. Chief executive Jonathan Ferrari joins host Emily Jackson on this week’s Down to Business. His company, which is known for delivering meal subscription kits, grew 90 per cent last year to 230,000 subscribers and annual revenue of nearly $300 million dollars. Ferrari spoke from Montreal.
