'I couldn’t see the way out. But even with my tunnel vision, I was able to pause, seek happiness through magazines and the internet, and to truly discover what I love and want for my life.' AIMEESONG shares her story for FailingUp:
When I was about to graduate high school, I thought I had my college plans figured out. It's when you make firm plans that everything changes.
But my daydreams led to something important: It was during all that internet surfing that I discovered my love for interior design. Feeling inspired, I set a goal that I would go to college to pursue my passion. So, while working at the construction company, I worked toward that goal every day; saving money, taking night classes, researching.
At the time I was working for the construction company, I couldn’t see the way out. But even with my tunnel vision, I was able to pause, seek happiness through magazines and the internet, and to truly discover what I love and want for my life. The struggle I had to experience provided me the perseverance to build this life.mental health
