“It’s just inconvenience,” said the judge, who declined to give her name. “We’ve never seen equipment go down like this.”: Harris County Elections Administrator Clifford Tatum held a brief press conference and addressed the hours-long delay at Baker Ripley. “Once we got word that situation, we sent workers over. We contacted both parties and ask them to identify clerks who could come over … We have more staff here and as you can see voting is going according to plan. That's part of the process. We need to plan for the worst and be prepared to respond. It just took a little bit of time to get it straightened out.”2:41 p.m.

"This morning, a city of Houston employee was killed as a result of a tragic work-related at Melrose Park, 401 Canino Rd, in Northeast Houston," Mayor Sylvester Turner said in a statement. Since the Melrose Park Community Center, 1001 Canino Road, is closed, voters are being redirected to the Hardy Street Senior Citizens Center, at 11901 West Hardy Road. Another alternative polling location is The Victory International Church, 170 Rittenhouse St.
