Houston developer Hanover Co. is planning a second apartment tower along Dallas' Turtle Creek.

Several new apartment towers are planned along Turtle Creek between Uptown and Highland Park.A Houston developer that’s just starting work on a Turtle Creek apartment tower is already signaling plans for a second high-rise.

Hanover Co. is building its 21-story Hanover Turtle Creek tower on Turtle Creek Boulevard near Fairmount Street, just north of the Uptown district. The 341-unit luxury rental community is going up on the former site of the Turtle Creek Gardens condominiums, which Hanover purchased last year.with GID Investment Advisers LLC, which has offices in Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco and other major U.S. cities.Now Hanover has filed plans for a second building in the project on Turtle Creek.

“Phase two is on an approximately 2.5-acre site and is anticipated to include 20 levels with 323 residential multifamily units and a shared 10.5-level precast parking garage,” according to details supplied to the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation.Solomon Cordwell Buenz also designed the second tower, which is set to start construction this summer. The building would open in early 2026.Next door to the Hanover site, Fairmount, Calif.-based Nexus Development Corp.
