The West Orange, New Jersey, home was built in 1925 on consignment for Charles Edison.
Homeowner Florence Fernicola has the originalfor the colonial. Fernicola, 91, has lived in the home for 67 years. “It’s been a privilege to have owned that property,” she told NJ Advance Media.
Fernicola moved into the home in 1956 with her husband and two small children. “It’s at the top of the hill, we fenced the property in for the kids. It was just a great area for the children to grow up in.”The Dutch colonial was built on consignment for Charles Edison, likely for an employee of his father's business.The home is in walking distance to the Thomas Edison National Historic Park.
