In House of the Dragon season 1, Daemon works carefully to cultivate a marriage that could tie him to King Viserys' heir, Rhaenyra, forever. While he manages to take her hand, he doesn't manage to take the throne, with the Greens launching a carefully coordinated scheme to oust Rhaenyra and crown Aegon instead.

It's a beautiful depiction of the Red Keep and truly brings Caraxes to life. Yet, as Daemon studies his people, he hardly looks like a good and noble king.
