Southern Water has announced the Temporary Use Ban in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, under which people can’t use hosepipes or wash their cars. It will come into effect from 5 August. Dr Alison Hoyle, Director of Risk & Compliance at Southern Water, said: “We haven’t taken this decision lightly and we know the Temporary Use Ban will have an impact on our customers.
