Hong Kong currency peg seduces yet again, says cbeddor:

J. Kyle Bass, the founder and chief investment officer of hedge fund firm Hayman Capital, argues that “newly emergent economic and political risks threaten Hong Kong’s decades of stability”, a scenario that means the local currency’s peg to the U.S. dollar “doesn’t make economic sense any more”, according to an April 22 letter to investors.

The Hong Kong dollar trades between HK$7.75 and HK$7.85 to $1. It was trading at HK$7.844 on April 29.
