Homes by Avi takes Jack James student partnership 'to the next level' yyc
The funding announcement was made Dec. 7 at Jack James High School in Calgary during 25th anniversary celebrations of the school’s partnership with the builder. Since 1998, Homes by Avi has supported construction students in the school’s experiential learning program. Jack James students will have priority in the bursary program, which is a five-year commitment of $1 million to the School of Construction at SAIT and NAIT. Grade 11 student Andreas Hynes helped install joists, build walls and will assist with window installation. Construction began at the end of September 2022 with students working on the build during a three-hour shop class every morning.
