I'd agree that this does not taste like an authentic Dole Whip, yet it is still a tasty treat. What I whipped up tasted too much like banana as well. I used 1 Cup of canned coconut milk and all the flesh from a fresh pineapple.
If you do put it in the freezer, it will solidify rock-hard if you leave it in there for too long.This doesn't taste anything like the actual Disney dole whip. It's tasty enough if you like banana, but even doubling the pineapple, it was still mostly banana flavored. Disney's dole whip is all pineapple. If you're looking for something like what you get in the park, this recipe isn't it.
