PROWERS COUNTY, Colo. – Multiple structures were destroyed, including a family home, in southeastern Colorado Friday after a tornado touched down in the area, according to county officials.
The Prowers County Sheriff’s Office received reports of property damage following the tornado and deputies who responded to that location confirmed that multiple structures, including a home, were “completely destroyed by the tornado.” Power is out in some parts of the county, notably in and around Granada, and crews were working to make those repairs as soon as they could safely do so.Friday’s tornado in southeastern Colorado was one of several reported in the Eastern Plains since Wednesday.
