“Mikey hit a sick approach shot up there, he carved it around a tree, and I was probably about five or six feet away,” Weegar said. “I think my heart rate was probably higher for that one than it was on the first tee. I just didn’t want to miss it, because it was so short. It was like, ‘You have to sink it. If you don’t, everyone is going to go, ‘Oooooh.’Afterward, the Flames’ fan favourite tipped his hat to the pros.
The other duos — Cassie Campbell-Pascall with Marie-Philip Poulin and Adam Lowry with Josh Morrissey — also earned skins. No team was shut out.
