They need to get down to 25 players — including a maximum of three 20-year-olds and two imports — by Oct. 10, which is a little more than two weeks into the regular season.

“He probably had 15 points in camp,” Hamilton said. “Yeah … it’s training camp, but every time he touched the puck, he was making things happen. We acquired him at the trade deadline last year, he plays — literally — a handful of games and breaks his wrist and is out for six weeks.
