PUTRAJAYA: Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein has tested negative for Covid-19.
His deputy, Datuk Kamarudin Jaafar, confirmed this, saying that despite this, Hishammuddin would be undergoing quarantine as required."But he is complying with the 14-day quarantine now," said Kamarudin on Wednesday .
Hishammuddin was initially scheduled to attend the ceremony for the signing of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in Wisma Putra. However, the minister signed the treaty at another location, and this was shown via video to guests who attended the event. A few days ago, Hishammuddin said that he would be quarantining himself at home after campaigning in the Sabah elections for Umno’s Sufian Abdul Karim, who has tested positive for Covid-19.
