Highlands Volunteer Fire Department has been monitoring a brushfire in Gowlland Tod Park overnight.
Shortly before 1:30 a.m., the fire department posted on its Facebook page that crews were on scene attempting to gain access.
Around 3 a.m., it was determined the fire was inaccessible with the current conditions and terrain. Crews kept watch on the fire, and the department noted no structures were threatened.Sign up for our newsletter to get breaking news and daily digests sent to your email.At 6:30 a.m., the department says crews will be working to get a more accurate view of the fire now that the sun has risen, and they will work to determine how to access the fire.
