Granite Hills baseball coach/AD James Davis and Cathedral Catholic girls soccer coach Dawn Lee to receive Model Coach Award
The CIF State office announced its 2022-23 Model Coach winners while the California Coaches Association honored coaches and administrators statewide.year, the CIF Model Coach Award program is designed to recognize coaches who have served as positive role models in their communities, and who have exhibited the traits apparent in the 16 principles of “Pursuing Victory with Honor.”
McClanahan worked as track and cross country coach at Mt. Carmel from 1973 to 2018, winning 44 league championships and 26 San Diego Section CIF championships. He was inducted into the Mt. Carmel Hall of Fame in 2018 and into the San Diego Coaching Legends in 2019.In addition, Anne Rosser, who coached badminton, field hockey, water polo, gymnastics and swimming for 40 years at Madison and Mission Bay, has been named the Dan Fukushima Lifetime Award winner.
