The Halifax West Warriors captured the School Sport Nova Scotia Division 1 girls' soccer championship on Saturday.Halifax West Warriors co-captain Georgia Gavas lived up to her words as the Halifax West Warriors downed the Citadel Phoenix 5-1 to capture the School Sport Nova Scotia Division 1 girls' soccer championship on Saturday at Mainland North Common.Warriors head coach Roy Snook said the team found its footing in the second half after a few words from Gavas during the break.
Cara Freeman, Abby Patten, Antoinette Mutipula and Kara Clark added goals for the Warriors. Citadel's scorer was Eve Wedderborn."Our girls have played well all year long," said Snook."We only have six seniors this year so our returning team for next season looks to be in good shape."
