Gas prices in Burnaby remain high — averaging $2.134 per litre.
Burnaby drivers are forced to feel the pinch as gas prices shot to $2.149 per litre on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
Why? A tropical storm that has led to oil refinery issues in southern California can be a part of the problem, said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.Da Haan expects prices will fall "below $2 per litre by mid to late October," but prices should ease sometime over the weekend.Burnaby fuel stations are offering an average of $2.126 per litre.
The cheapest gas in the province is the Costco in Kamloops at $1.649 per litre, as well as the Super Save Gas pump in Prince George . For drivers filling up for the weekend, these are the top 10 least expensive stations in Burnaby, according to Gasbuddy.com:
