Here's what a Toronto Raptors rebuild might look like if Kawhi Leonard leaves:

Share to twitterKawhi Leonard celebrated his masterful NBA title run on Thursday night, but Toronto may have to think about rebuilding if he decides to depart in free agency. Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty ImagesIt hasn't been 12 hours since the Toronto Raptors won their first NBA championship, so apologies for raining on the well-deserved celebrations going on throughout the great country of Canada.

It's something that president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri has definitely planned for.

Assuming Leonard opts out of the final year on his contract and leaves the Raptors, Toronto would have about $110 million on its books for next season,. A large chunk of that is Marc Gasol's $25.95 million player option for next season, a contract that would be tough to trade until January or February if he exercises the option.

The same goes for Serge Ibaka, who has one year and $23.2 million left on his deal. He's definitely more tradeable than Lowry in terms of salary, but he might be easier to deal at the trade deadline as well. Danny Green would leave via free agency, and Toronto might consider re-signing guard Patrick McCaw, although he might want to go elsewhere if he wants to continue his streak of consecutive years with a title, currently at three.
