Isaiah Washington's Western, 'Corsicana,' screens at Star Cinema Grill in Richmond Thursday

It has been a good summer for Texas-set movie and TV projects, from BJ Novak's film"Vengeance" to Houston comedian Mo Amer's Netflix series,"Mo." Now, the trend continues with the movie"Corsicana," a Western filmed in the North Central Texas town of the same name that is directed by and stars Houston-born actor Isaiah Washington.
And you can be one of the first people to see it at a red-carpet screening at Star Cinema Grill's Richmond location at 6 p.m. Aug. 25. The movie opens in theaters the next day. The film, the directorial debut from Washington that also stars Stacey Dash and Kevin Gage, tells the story of a deputy U.S. marshal who reunites with a former partner turned tracker to hunt a band of killers.
Washington and members of the crew will be in attendance at the premiere. Tickets can be purchased atWashington is best known for roles in the series"Grey's Anatomy,""P-Valley" and"The 100."
