For her directorial debut, Dakota Johnson, actress and girlfriend of Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin, co-directed the band’s new music video alongside director Cory Bailey.
The doo-wop-inspired track “Cry Cry Cry” from their latest albumprovides the soundtrack for the 1950s sock-hop-themed dance video, choreographed by Celia Rowlson-Hall, whose past projects include HBO’s, “the video was shot in one of London’s last remaining and intact 1950s-style ballrooms, the Rivoli Ballroom.”Drake is bringing battle rap to Caffeine, a new broadcast platform founded by an ex-Apple designer and entrepreneur.
