Thrawn is 'Heir to the Empire' (again)!
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Grand Admiral Thrawn is set to return to the Star Wars galaxy as "Heir to the Empire" in Ahsoka, and the title is an exciting callback to the character's first-ever appearance in novels that have since become non-canonical Legends. However, it seems as though Lucasfilm and Ahsoka showrunner Dave Filoni are taking key inspirations from the books and reworking key elements into the established Star Wars canon.
Who Is The Heir To The Empire? Thrawn, Leia & Joruus C’baoth In Legends, three characters seemingly had a claim to the title of "Heir to the Empire". One was the Dark Jedi Joruss C'baoth, a clone of an actual Jedi created by Emperor Palpatine to guard his secret cloning facilities within Mount Tantiss.
During the Thrawn Trilogy and the Grand Admiral's efforts to restore the Empire, other notable events occurred such as the birth of Han Solo and Leia's twins Jacen and Jaina whom C'baoth sought to kidnap and train in the dark side as well as their uncle Luke Skywalker. Additionally, Luke faces the Dark Jedi along with a clone of himself created by C'baoth. Named Luuke, the clone was made using the hand Skywalker lost in The Empire Strikes Back.
