Mann also gave a crucial update on the cast of Heat 2. When the sequel was first confirmed it was reported that Adam Driver, star of Michael Mann’s 2023 Ferrari biopic, was in talks to play the younger version of Robert De Niro’s Neil McCauley. While the director didn’t confirm Driver’s involvement in Heat 2, he was open about wanting to work with Driver again.
