Police in Enoch City were conducting a welfare check when officers found the bodies.
Rob Dotson, Enoch City manager, said Wednesday night that his community is mourning the family’s deaths.
“It’s hard to describe in words the emotions that are going through the people who live here,” Dotson said, according to. “We all know this family. Many of us have served with them in church, in community, and gone to school with these individuals. “And so, this community at this time is hurting. They’re feeling loss; they’re feeling pain. They have a lot of questions, which is natural, and they’re here to support.”posted to its website, the Iron County School District in Cedar City said that the five children were all students there. The loss was certain to raise “emotions, concerns, and questions for our entire school district, especially our students,” school officials said.
